In Chennai (India) we celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, our holiday, with the religious of our parish, our neighbor and friends. The solemn mass began at 11:30 in the morning. Although most of our neighbors were Hindus, they also participated in the Holy Eucharist. The main celebrant of the Mass was our assistant parish priest, Fr. Estheppan. In the homily, the priest spoke about the purity, holiness and availability of Mary. He mentioned that "we are called to follow Mary's example in our daily lives and we must always be prepared to do the Will of God in all the circumstances of our lives as Mary did." When renewing our vows, he mentioned that as religious we must be prepared to face all the difficulties we encounter on our path and be faithful to our vows. After mass, everyone who came joined us for the community meal. The party was full of joy and happiness.
