The Church celebrates the April 30th the World Day of Prayer for Vocations and Native Vocations Day under the motto, “Get on the road. Do not wait more". This campaign is disseminated jointly by the Vocation Ministry service of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, the Spanish Conference of Religious (CONFER), Pontifical Mission Societies (OMP) and the Spanish Conference of Secular Institutes (CEDIS).
"Good Shepherd Sunday", the fourth of Easter, is the day chosen to celebrate these two Days together:
• The World Day of Prayer for Vocations, of a universal character, aims to raise the question of their vocation in all young people, and that the Christian community promotes Christian vocations with prayer and accompaniment.
• The Native Vocations Day that seeks to support the vocations of special consecration that arise in the Mission territories, so that none of them is left frustrated due to lack of resources. For this, in addition to prayer, he promotes economic collaboration.
