EASTER EXPERIENCE
During Easter week, when the hallelujahs of Easter Sunday were still resounding, some members of the MLC lived a rich Easter experience, we could even call it Pentecostal. Because the Spirit was distributed in different languages.
They were arriving at the General House of Sánchez Guerrero, where the Meeting was taking place from KOREA; DR CONGO; CAMEROON; BRAZIL; VENEZUELA; DOMINICAN R. and SPAIN, accompanied by the religious responsible for each regional level, ASIA, AFRICA, BRAZIL, CARIBBEAN and SPAIN. In total about 25 participants.
We were summoned by the Congregation to II International Meeting of the MLC with the goals to know each other; Share the history of the path traveled in each Organization and Unify ourselves in the challenges of the future.
The theme was "the vocation-mission of the lay Conceptionist today in our church and our world."
The first day, Day 11, 175th anniversary of the baptism of Santa Carmen Sallés, we dedicate it to the presentation of each group, at the regional level. It was very joyful to perceive the life of the MLC groups in those places, although the pandemic has also left its mark and there was some decline. We concluded with the Eucharist in M. Carmen's oratory, followed by a snack-dinner, invited by the Madrid Princesa community, for which we were grateful.
The second day was dedicated to training with a deep and enjoyable formative talk on the theme of the meeting given by Margarita Saldana, followed by reflection, group work and sharing.
With the dynamics of the "concepcionista dress", we wanted to raise awareness of how the groups walk and go looking for Future Challenges.
The third day was dedicated to delving into the person of M. Carmen through icons known to all: The charisma, the garden, the one of beatification and the one of looks that was placed in October in the Good Counsel chapel.
We concluded with the Eucharist in the collegiate church, in the chapel of the Virgin of Good Counsel, where M. Carmen received light and strength to found the Congregation.
The logo of the meeting was designed by the applicant Aurora Martínez. There we see M. Carmen who is joyful contemplating the reality of the conceptionist path in the MLC and connecting us in a network.

So far, in broad strokes what we did, but the wealth was in what we lived: the family atmosphere, joy and sharing.
- A joyful meeting of lay and religious drinking from the same source: the charism, despite the diversity of languages and cultures. We had the materials translated into three languages: Korean, French and Portuguese. And we were lucky to have translator sisters.
- An Easter celebration that nourished our family spirit. We had ardently desired this meeting; the objectives were fully met. We are left with the challenge of experiencing it in each person and each group and infecting other people.
- A Pentecostal experience, in which we perceive the union of hearts, in the diversity of languages.
Without a doubt, M. Carmen would enjoy this family party, where we feel the presence of the Risen Lord.
We thank God for the gift of the charism, from which the laity in the MLC drink. Thanks to M. Carmen who opened this path and thanks to all of you who accompanied us with your prayers and affection. We continue to pray and live in communion with the MLC. The laity want it and appreciate it. We religious are witnesses of this.
We will continue making our way because the call to communion and mission continues to be strong in this synodal time, which will be the time of the future of the Church.
We are called to BE WITNESSES to what we have seen and heard.
