The celebration of the 60 years of the Conceptionist presence in Venezuelatook place in the La Concepción de Montalbán School on Saturday, February 11. It was a day full of expressions of gratitude and joy, in which religious women, students, alumni, educators, parents and representatives and other Conceptionist friends gathered to join in thanksgiving for the Conceptionist presence in Venezuela.

The celebration of 60 years of the Conceptionist presence in VenezuelaIt was held at the La Concepción de Montalbán School on Saturday February 11. It was a day full of expressions of gratitude and joy, in which nuns, students, alumni, educators, parents and representatives and other Conceptionist friends gathered to join in thanksgiving for the Conceptionist presence in Venezuela. The school was fortunate to have the presence of M. Isabel Moraza who was spending her pastoral visit in the province.

It started at 9:30 in the morning with a solemn eucharist presided over by Mons. Jesús González de De Zarate together with priest friends from the Conceptionist communities in Venezuela, many of whom have been witnesses of the journey of these years.

The mass was an emotional and participatory celebration, prepared with care and affection by all the communities and Conceptionist centers of Venezuela. After the mass, they enjoyed a cultural event which had as its common thread the history of the foundations in Venezuela, the most significant characters in this history, such as the first nuns, MM. Sorterrañea Gonzalo and Querubines Martinez, who arrived in Venezuela on May 10, 1957 on the ship "Santa María".

It was a beautiful cultural event, which included the participation on stage of students and teachers from all centers. More than 1500 people gathered that day to thank and commemorate the gift of the Conceptionist charisma in the tricolor Homeland. Day that renewed hope and conviction that the Conceptionist mission grows like a mustard seed in this fertile and eager soil for "the love of Mary Immaculate, the bread of culture and the freedom of grace"...
