Trust... God's GRACE should not be lacking (M. Carmen)
…A blue and white dream. A call to all…
It all started with Mother Carmen Sallés with a dream and a call, so each Conceptionist seeks to respond to the needs of continuing with the mission of “Evangelizing through education.” Today here in Nazareth, a land blessed by God, we give thanks for the completion of the II module of the U.E.C. Carmen Salles. It has not been easy but “As long as there are children and young people to educate and values to transmit, the difficulties do not count” M. Carmen. There have been many difficulties in making this project a reality; the socio-political situation of our country, the shortage and high cost of construction materials that affected the completion of the structure, a socio-economic reality that has had an impact on businessmen, affecting the donations necessary for the execution of the project. of Nazareth.
The path has not been easy, everything begins with the need of a community to be attended to in its educational and pastoral aspects. What motivated the Conceptionist Congregation to respond by sowing in that humble and simple neighborhood hope, values, spirituality... all this oriented under the Charisma inherited from M. Carmen Sallés.
It started in a small hut with teachers from the community, then they moved on to a construction, multiple classroom, donation from CANTV, there in two shifts they teach morning and afternoon, from 1st to 6th grade. But since the dreams do not stop, sisters, teachers, and teachers continue searching for ways to build the modules and improve the educational quality of the children of the community.
In 2012, the first module of six classrooms was completed, but there is still a long way to go... the school population is growing and we must continue... Forward, always forward, God will provide...M. Carmen.
Today, January 14, 2017, we can say that the Carmen Sallés School serves a population of 412 low-income Venezuelan boys and girls from initial education to 6th grade of primary education who live in a community with many needs in the educational and social pastoral field.
The development of this shared mission between religious and lay people has generated satisfactory changes in this community of Nazareth, which motivates us to continue with the project and the mission. Today we celebrate the completion of the second module with the presence of mothers María Isabel Moraza, Superior General, Mariana Guinand, Provincial Superior, María Viñé, Provincial Vicariate, personalities from the Venezuelan Association of Catholic Education (AVEC), Priest Pedro Zerpa, teachers from the U.E.C. The Immaculate Conception, and the teaching, administrative and worker body of our institution.
We continue to thank God for allowing us to be part of this great dream, and we ask M. Carmen to continue blessing us in this beautiful mission.
