From December 20 to 23, the XVI Provincial Chapter of Spain was held in the Provincial House of Madrid-Belisana. A total of 30 sisters, united in work and prayer, to discern in the light of the Spirit where to walk during the next triennium.
Presided over by the delegate of the Superior General, M. Cristina Mazariegos, the Chapter began on the afternoon of December 20 by praying with the icon of Pentecost in the chapel. Together with Mary Immaculate, the capitular mothers prepared their hearts to remain open to the Spirit, feeling co-responsible in the mission of the Province, women of the dawn, committed to the project of Jesus. Already in the chapter house, the financial and personnel reports were presented. Together they celebrated the opening Eucharist invoking the Spirit during the season of Advent.

Mary at the Visitation
On Sunday the 22nd the assembly delved into the mission of the institute. This time it was the icon of the Visitation and the word “communion” that guided the chapter work. In the morning all the work carried out in III Education and Pastoral Assembly celebrated in November 2024. In the afternoon, a panel of witnesses in which some nuns and novices from the province presented their vision, helped address the issue of vocational ministry in all areas in which the Congregation is present.

Mary in Bethlehem
The Chapter was coming to an end, and on Monday morning, illuminated by the icon of Bethlehem and the word “participation,” the sisters marked the priorities within all the fields that had been worked on, thus marking the roadmap for the next triennium. With a grateful heart, the Chapter closed celebrating the Eucharist, giving thanks to God for the life of the Province, which becomes concrete in each community and each member of this great Conceptionist family.
