In the photo we publish we can see one of the few Christians who was able to escape the Islamic State massacre in the Nineveh plain. Now receive help from MásLibres.org
Many citizens contribute, through their connection to MasLibres.org, to help the most basic needs of persecuted Christians in countries where Jihad has unleashed its cruel genocide. One of the destinations of their contributions is the dispensary clinic that the archbishop of Kirkuk, Monsignor Mirkis, has installed next to his cathedral, in Iraq. Next to the same cathedral is this clinical center, which cares for Christians who were able to flee from the Islamic State. Any help they can receive is essential, therefore, we use this small space where conceptionist readers meet to make their reality known. They lack medicines, which are always scarce when there are wars, especially for the chronically ill. For this reason, one of the aid campaigns channeled by MasLibres.org is focusing precisely on this problem.
In the photo we publish we can see one of the few Christians who was able to escape the Islamic State massacre in the Nineveh plain. This is Yaqub Mati Butrus, 85 years old, who was losing his sight until a few days ago. Today you see again thanks to the generosity of so many citizens that we send our help to the victims of jihad. Jacobo has written his message on that sheet of paper: “Gracias”, it gets very big. He writes to you so that you know that what you do for persecuted Christians is helping them. Another collaborator, Dr. Nail, director of the medical center, has contacted us to send us this message:
“I wanted to thank you for the great effort you are making to help our displaced Christians, who are really suffering a lot these days. I thank Jesus for having people as great as you, who help in a world full of hate. I remember the proverb that says: 'If you don't change people's lives for the better, you are wasting your time.' Today you are changing and making the lives of many human beings better. I thank you for it and I pray for you.”
