This Saturday, the Early Childhood and Primary teachers of our Conceptionist schools participated in a training on critical thinking given by José Carlos Ruiz, philosopher, writer and author of the international bestseller “The art of thinking”. At the meeting, which took place at the La Inmaculada school in Madrid-Hortaleza, José Carlos invited us to reflect on the value of amazement as a driver of learning. In a world marked by overstimulation, it is essential to teach children to look at everyday life with new eyes: to be surprised, to ask questions and to share objects or experiences from their daily lives that awaken their curiosity. Creativity is born from knowledge and memorization and the cultivation of culture enrich critical thinking. Our world is deeply fascinating when we learn to rediscover it through wonder. Awakening children's interest begins precisely there.
