M. Belén Gómez de Castro, Superior General, is making a Pastoral Visit to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of the Congo together with M. Cristina Mazariegos, Bursar and General Councilor. On January 28, they arrived at the Kisenso Community where they were received with great affection and an emotional welcome. There they have visited the Carmen Sallés school which with its 1,085 students (from kindergarten to university) is a light of hope in a social environment with many challenges in which families fight to have a better future. They also visited the parish where they held interviews with the parish priest and priests. The reception at the visit to the Spanish Embassy was very hospitable, where they were able to greet the entire security team, made up of six national police officers. They also met with the Spanish ambassador in Kinsasha, Carmen Díez Orejas, who greatly appreciated the work of the missionaries in the country, offered his support to the congregation and promised to visit the school soon.

From Kisenso they went to Kimwenza Novitiate Community with 11 formations that are the joy of this Delegation. There they celebrated the day of Consecrated Life with the Bishop and with other congregations. They continue their journey, but not before thanking the work of all the Conceptionist nuns for a work that does a lot of good and that opens paths of life and hope where they are most needed.
