“You have a gift, show your worth.” This is what “Chain of Kindness” sounds like, the new awareness campaign of the Pontifical Mission Societies that takes the form of a rapper video clip. To do this, the entity responsible for missionary animation has signed Grilex and Not From This World, two Catholic rap groups. Furthermore, every time the video clip is viewed, OMP will receive a donation to collaborate with the 11,000 Spanish missionaries spread across the five continents.
“This initiative is part of the extraordinary month called by Pope Francis to revitalize the missionary spirit of Christian communities,” says the director of OMP, José María Calderón. “We want to present the missionary month by singing, through the beauty of music, other beautiful things such as love, effort and struggle,” justifies Calderón, who explains that “rap is young and attractively expresses the need to move, which is what the Church and Jesus invite us to.”
