As Cardinal Michael Czerny said, Prefect of the DSDHI, in a recent interview: “Within the framework of the Jubileo de la Esperanza 2025, this tenth anniversary will be an occasion to celebrate the achievements and thank God. A moment to promote the encyclical between Catholics and people of all beliefs that do not know it. A time to cry, and fight, with whom they suffer, are marginalized or impoverished, because of the damages inflicted to the land and the unjust economic mechanisms. ”
The encyclical Laudato Si', promulgated in 2015 by Pope Francis, remains very current since he denounces environmental degradation, loss of biodiversity, pollution and climate change, as well as the social crisis that is coming. The need to implement, immediately and proactively, a Sustainable model, innovative and supportive today more relevant than ever.

Guided by the spirit of subsidiarity, they carry out their mission: take care of our common house.
In line with this, the Dicasterio for the Service of Integral Human Development launched in 2021 the Laudato Si’ Action Platform, to specifically accompany the participants in a sustainable path through objectives inspired by the encyclical. The platform offers institutions and Catholic organizations an extensive range of resources, good practices and itineraries to implement the principles of integral ecology in everyday life. These days an update of the website and a new program of Certifications for institutions, through which the active participation of users in the Laudato Si’ Action Platform.
The tenth anniversary represents, therefore, an exceptional opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to our common house, a mission in which we are all called to participate actively, also overlooking World Prayer Day for Creation Care, on September 1, 2025.
