Octave of Prayer for Christian Unity
The Church celebrates Week of Prayer for Christian Unity of January 18 to 25, 2022 with the motto, "We have seen its star leave and come to worship it" (cf. Mt 2, 2). A biblical text that is inspired by the visit of the Magi to the newborn king in Bethlehem.
The Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the Unity of Christians and the Faith Commission and Constitution of the Ecumenical Council of Iglesias They have jointly developed some materials to help reflection and to prepare the octavarium celebrations.
To these joint materials are added those that contribute the Episcopal subcommission for interconfessional relationships and interreligious dialogue: the message signed by the bishops of this subcommittee; a script for the Eucharistic celebrations of the week; And a reflection that can be used in Eucharistic adoration, which is a novelty in this year's materials.
