This Friday, March 6, the 30th anniversary of the Carmen Sallés School was celebrated, 480 steps above Morán Avenue, west of the city.
This Initial Education Center is one of the social projects of the Archdiocese of Caracas. Thanks to the “Friends of Canonization”, through the support of private companies, this pressure was recently provided with paint, food, electrical devices and sound equipment, in order to dignify its educational work and ensure a functional and safe environment for its staff and that of the 85 children they serve.
The Carmen Sallés Initial Education Center is run by the Congregation of the Missionary Conceptionists of Education, founded by Saint Carmen Sallés in Burgos, Spain.
The congregation has spread its mission of evangelizing through education in at least 16 countries.
In Venezuela, the congregation has, in addition to the Carmen Sallés School and Home, in the La Morán neighborhood, a consolidated presence in several cities, with works such as the “La Concepción” School, in the Montalbán and Terrazas urbanizations of the Caracas Equestrian Club; and the “Our Lady of Belén” School in San Mateo, Aragua state.
