El autor africano nos dice "Melchor Mbonimpa: “Those who died never left: They are in the shadow that illuminates and in the deepening shadow. The dead are not under the ground: They are in the trembling tree. They are in the Groaning Wood, they are in the flowing water, they are in Sleeping Water, they are in the box, They are in the crowd: The dead are not dead.

Mother Vicky, today far from the African land, where we have shared life, joy, and tears, in this same land all the African people have prayed and continue to pray for you. The students of our schools, families, and communities are uniting in prayer so that the Lord receives you in his house.
Victoria has formed most of the sisters of the African Delegation as a teacher of the postulants and novices. Her experiences in her formation made her increasingly closer to the African land, culture, language and tradition. So many students in our schools and other congregations have benefited from her Bible classes.
The Delegation of Africa, today says THANK YOU for your sacrifices of knowing how to understand us, of knowing how to love us just as WE ARE, of knowing how to listen, of knowing how to help us to walk spiritually, of knowing how to know our families.
Thank you for as much life as you have given in this African land; God bless you.
THANK YOU for the life shared in a difficult moment, in time of War in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, you have accepted the risk of staying with us, going from town to town looking for the way to save the sisters. This adventure that we have gone through to cross the Congo river by canoe, until arriving in Congo Brazzaville. Woman of courage like Santa Carmen Sallés did.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR YES in the service of the Congregation. We all love you very much.
Thank you for your kindness, your sweetness, your inner life and your humility.
Because you liked the Word of God that said: “You too, when you have done everything that was commanded you, say: We are useless servants, we have done everything we had to do” (Lk 17, 10).
We will never forget you because you are already part of our life, land, culture.
